I don’t have a fancy story to describe who I am, so I’ll just keep it real.
The good news? I am not a doctor, a psychiatrist or even a pharmacist.

The GREAT news? Rather than prescribing you a hundred medications for every ailment and symptom like many doctors and psychiatrists do, I treat the ROOT CAUSES of what’s holding you back.

I love checking myself out in the mirror. I especially love my arms and back. But they weren’t always the attention grabber you see today.

Believe it or not, growing up my arms were as flimsy as Olive Oil’s and my confidence was nowhere near the level it’s at today.

My real fitness journey began when I was diagnosed with fibroids. At that point, I had no strength or motivation.

I didn’t think it was possible to regain the fitness level I once had as an athlete in college, especially since I had just reached my forties. I had the “street fine” look, but underneath the clothes I had a bulging stomach. I was depressed about how I looked, and my self esteem was pretty low.

Two years of feeling sorry for myself later, I made the decision to change.
“I realized the only thing that was holding me back was staring back at me in the mirror.”

One day I decided to become a Personal Trainer. Yep, just like that.
To know me is to know that’s the kind of chick I am when I make a decision. Surgery had left me with a few scars on the outside, but improving my health and changing my mindset removed my emotional scars inside.

I challenged myself again to become a Figure Fitness Athlete. Later, I became a Professional Figure Fitness Competitor.

Though I changed my mindset and had undergone a physical transformation, I was still nervous to go on stage with my visible scars – but, I did not let it hold me back. My first competition was hilarious – posing and walking in the wrong direction made for a good show.

But oh, I wasn’t done yet. After becoming a figure fitness athlete, I decided to become a Nutrition Health Coach so that I could learn more about nutrition, cultivate healthy habits and live my best life. So see – there is a reason why I like checking myself out in the mirror. I earned it!

The final challenge I embarked on was to become a gut health expert. Why? Well, first of all, I noticed that digestive health issues are a huge reality that so many individuals (including me!) face on a daily basis, and I wanted to help.

Moreover, I understand that the gut effects nearly every system and organ in the body. Research links gut health to a number of chronic conditions, and many believe that the gut holds the key to our physical, emotional, and mental well-beings. So, I set myself up to teach others how to use food and lifestyle shifts to cultivate a healthy “second brain” – that is, a healthy gut.

Now, I want YOU to remove those hidden scars on the inside and begin to thrive on the outside. You may not want to be a Figure Competitor or even a Personal Trainer, but I know you have the heart, desire and passion to make lasting changes. I teach busy working women how to use food and lifestyle shifts to improve gut disturbances. You kept reading my story because you know I’m the chick that should be on that journey with you…
